At The House of Rose & Brown we all love afternoon tea.  Particularly homemade cakes and buns.  Personally, I am very bad at baking, but there are a lot of talented bakers out there.

My sister-in-law Claire, is my Master Baker and often provides delightful, special, bijoux buns for The House of Rose & Brown's afternoon tea parties.

Here is a photo of her mini victoria sandwiches, butterfly cakes and fairy cakes.
mmmmmMMMMMM!
Cakes n buns
I'd love to see pictures of cakes and buns that you've baked - why not email me on carolinebrownart@yahoo.co.uk and I'll post the best ones on this website!
anyone for afternoon tea?.
Here's a very tasty picture taken by the talented Vicky Lucas at our Handcrafted event in Leeds on 4 and 5 August.
The lovely buns are:
Butterfly cakes and very retro looking chocolate button buns by Liz Johnson (Rapunzel Strikes Back)
Miniature fairy cakes with sprinkles, butterflies, teddy bears and elephants, kindly baked by Marilyn.
Courgette and walnut cakes by expert Rag Rugger Karen Griffiths
Woah!  I love the eclectic freestyle toppings on these pretty fairy cakes.  Baked by my lovely ex colleague Catherine Browne, and displayed beautifully on a Rose & Brown purchased cake stand.  Thanks for the photo Catherine, and wish I could've been there to try one!
Oh boy - now that is a seriously marvellous cake!  Sent in by 'the marvellous tea dance company' who bake the most fabulous cakes as well as organising wonderul tea dance events at Interplay Theatre in Leeds
